A long week-end in… Geneva !

If you are not a Polo Fan (and then won’t be in St Moritz), you are perhaps a Art Lover. then , you MUST run asap to Geneva to attend ART GENEVA – with the VIP preview on Wednesday 28.01.2015

I would then share a few tips to enjoy your stay near the Geneva Lake !

How to reach: no question: by train. Or by plane. but better by train.

Geneva, its Lake...

Where to stay: finding a cheap hotel in Geneva is not a piece of cake. You will preferabbly choose a place centraly located near the Eaux-Vives or around the Mt Blanc Bridge. The hotel Tiffany sounds a good option based on the Quality/price/location ratio.

To do a little bit of shopping: you will enjoy all the luxury shops on the Rue du Rhône, our Bahnhoffstrasse, with the gorgeous evening dresses by Eli Saab in plus. Eli Saab is not the shop you will find in Geneva only. Love the swimwear specialist Vilebrequin (100 rue du Rhône) for the special Father and Son collection 🙂

Or you can have a look in these little boutiques: Vintage Garderobe (Luxury Second Hands clothes), la bourse du luxe ( hold by former model by Dior), Pashka, La 5ème, Eastside

And my 2 chouchous, the Geneva’s fashion brands : Alberto Bini ( rue de la Confédération, 8) and Berence

Bar and Club and other places…

chez Henri is the BUZZ of the moment. This Secret oyster&wine bar is located in The Hamburger Foundation restaurant. Push the door mentioning ” Entrée Interdite” and enjoy your time !

chez Henri - Oyster and good white wine
chez Henri – Oyster and good white wine

Zoé live bar: is a fresh and new bar with bands playing in live. The rendez-vous of all the Genevois en vue in a very casual atmosphere…

Rooftop 42: the trendy bar and cantine that opened lat year for a great view

– and the best addresses of Bistronomie – this subtile association of bistro food and gastronomy creativity ! Le Flacon in the charming dorf of Carouge or Gourmet Brothers or the institutional Entrecôte with its famous sauce Café de Paris…

Quirinale: a lounge bar, after work, wine bar… kind of crowd that works in banks and law firms. or the “clandestine” Le Verre à Monique

– and the very classy Java to end your night or the more underground Chez Jean-Luc.

You now know everything to enjoy a long week-end in Geneva !
